Goodwill Haul

Taking a moment to show my Goodwill haul.
I was able to stop in on Tuesday evening to browse a little.
Take a look at the find....
I LOVE LOVE THIS HUGE BASKET
it is 1 ft deep and 2 feet width

This darling square framed hummingbird was only
99 cents.
I am not really into decorating with hummingbirds, but thought the frame and matting was so beautiful!
Plus, it had such a nice back to it.
Well, that is about all...just thought I'd share.

A road trip on one Saturday, and a few sweet items that were a steal!

I've been trying to think, exactly... how I want to do this blog. I am thinking it will mostly be about "great finds" that I pick up at yard sales, GW (Goodwill), and sales. I think it is such fun to pick up stuff for my home. I LOVE seasonal stuff!! Also, I may put a few other things like...road trips, decorating ideas and tips, foodie stuff and anything else that makes me happy. :)

Here are a few items, just this month that I found.

GW $.99

Road trip

Boy, we sure did enjoy those donuts!
Brought home some and then bought a couple more things.

Sourdough bread is delicious.... Enjoyed it several times for lunch and then one evening I fixed grilled bacon and cheese sandwiches. UNBELIEVABLE

My fall decorating started last week, and I am just wrapping up the lose ends of finding places for it all. I LOVE THE RICH COLORS OF FALL! I love looking through my Instagram and seeing all the decorating in white, but I find myself always going for all the burgundy, rust orange and yellow colors.
I will come back in a few days and show my
Fall Home Tour
Just maybe even a vlog of it. Who knows....I may even get my courage up to do that!

Well, I guess that is enough pictures.

Turning a skirt into 2 APRONS!

Hello everyone,
This is the very first post on .....
Simply Heaven on Earth

I'm excited to start this new blog, and share more of the things going on in my little world of homemaking. There are many things that I love doing, and hope to learn as well, as I begin this new beginning. I am hoping to be able to start learning a little more about vlogs, editing, taking photo's and the such.

So, a few weeks back I had some girlfriends over, and one of the ladies shared with us how to take a sundress and make it into an apron. I looked and looked for a sundress. Just never did find anything that really caught my eye. I did spot a adorable little skirt ($1.50 Goodwill  GW)  and thought...hey, I could make two outta this! Take a Lookie....

So, what do you think? I'd love to hear!! Well, it is late...  gonna wrap this up for the night.

Last night it was late, and I forgot to mention how I did these cuties! Just rip out the side seams and use this magic stuff...
Pretty cool stuff. Now this part is no sew, but I did feel it necessary to stitch the seams where the waist band is. I did use the heat bond, but it just seems a lot thicker, and I thought it may need a few stitches to really keep the seam together better.  Anyhow, there you have it....simply done.:)
